Donors replace gifts for kids

By Emma Ritch
The Sun News

'Today I'm crying tears of joy. Yesterday, it was tears of grief.'
Barb Mains | Caring 4 Kids director

Hundreds of kids will unwrap their presents today, unaware of the events that stole their Christmas and then compelled people from across the state and nation to restore it.

Caring 4 Kids was overwhelmed with gifts and monetary donations Friday, guaranteeing a happy Christmas to the 150 kids whose presents were stolen and now the extra kids who can be accommodated with the gifts, said director Barb Mains.

"We've got more than we lost," Mains said. "Now we can give them two big toys."

Volunteer Donald Hildreth said local churches, businesses, Grand Strand visitors and even people from other parts of the state have driven in gifts, replacing the CD players, karaoke machines, Barbies, Bratz dolls and the crying baby that one girl desperately wanted.

"When I went to Wal-Mart, there were no Bratz. Then when I got here, they were all here," Mains said.

After the Wednesday night burglary of Caring 4 Kids' storage building, Mains and her team of volunteers were discouraged, baffled at how some-
one could steal Christmas from needy kids and overwhelmed by replacing all the stolen goods. Caring 4 Kids delivers toys to 900 kids throughout Horry County. Fortunately, most presents were delivered and the Marine Corps dropped off many gifts.

"Today I'm crying tears of joy," Mains said. "Yesterday, it was tears of grief."

Myrtle Beach police are still investigating the crime, said Cpl. Michael Bland. Thieves left behind fingerprints and a knife, according to the police report. More than $6,000 worth of toys were stolen, and all the wrapping paper was slashed.

"I hope they catch the crooks," Mains said.

The new storage location at 6302 N. Kings Highway was half-filled with toys piled to the ceiling early Friday afternoon. It was empty when Hildreth, the sole volunteer staffing the place, arrived in the morning. The group will make sure it's empty by nightfall to prevent more theft.

All the extra toys will be put to good use because they were rationing what they had left Friday, Mains said.

"I told the kids that one of Santa's sleighs broke down and he'll send you some more toys on Sunday," Mains said.

The volunteers always find children when delivering meals on Christmas Day who didn't get any presents, she said.

The extra toys will also go to them and to kids throughout the year on other holidays, Mains said.

The donations showed no sign of stopping, as a steady stream of people came in with gifts and money. Many of them wanted to remain anonymous and didn't ask for receipts to claim on their taxes, Hildreth said.

"It's like something you read about at Christmastime," Hildreth said. "I don't believe that God would let something like this happen and not fix it."

When one man found out Caring 4 Kids wasn't in need of any specific toys, he said he'd donate everything in his pockets. It turned out to be $600, Hildreth said.

"I heard you guys got looted. That's horrible," said Mike Swain, who dropped by to donate clothes and toys.

"I'm thankful I didn't get it done on time," said Deni Buffmyer, a member of Surfside Christian Church, as she dropped off gifts for an 11-year-old and a 3-year-old. Many of the gifts from that church were stolen Wednesday night.

It was the stories of the children donating their piggy banks and their own presents that really touched Mains and the other volunteers.

One little girl brought her piggy bank. A boy who received presents from Caring 4 Kids earlier this week tried to give them back, Mains said.

"A woman called this morning and said her quadriplegic son wanted to donate his CD player," Mains said.

Hildreth said he had constant phone calls since he arrived in the empty room at 8 a.m.

"I haven't had time to get a cup of coffee," he said. "The phone was just ringing."

Caring 4 Kids is still looking for some donations.

They're in need of kerosene heaters, blankets, coats, sweaters, Shrek toys, rice and beans.

"Every time we go out, we find people that don't have heat," Mains said.

THEFT | More than $6,000 worth of donated presents taken
Burglars steal holiday gifts

By Emma Ritch
The Sun News

'I can't even conceive somebody would steal from a child. ...They had to know where [the toys] were going. It would take an evil person.'
Barb Mains | Caring 4 Kids program director

The thieves who almost stole Christmas from 900 kids Wednesday night weren't counting on two things: the resiliency of Barb Mains and the generosity of the people of Horry County.

Mains, director of Caring 4 Kids, and her volunteers walked into their storage facility Thursday morning to find weeks of hard work ruined. More than $6,000 worth of gifts were gone, and thieves slashed the wrapping paper on all the gifts that remained.

"Every kid on that list is going to have a Christmas, no matter what we have to do," Mains said Thursday.

Mains and the volunteers couldn't let down the kids, many of whom are from the rural areas of Horry County, including Green Sea and Nichols. After all, some of those kids from needy households have depended on Caring 4 Kids for 15 years and wouldn't get presents otherwise, Mains said.

"I can't even conceive somebody would steal from a child," Mains said. "They had to know where [the toys] were going. It would take an evil person."

As she re-wrapped gifts, Mains was quick to point out that it could have been worse.

The first miracle was that all but 150 gifts had been delivered by Wednesday, Mains said.

The second was when the U.S. Marine Corps, which runs Toys for Tots, heard about the theft early Thursday, the group donated an 18-foot truck full of toys.

"Within an hour they were here with a big truckful," Mains said. "... The Marines will save you. They saved us."

Miracle three: The thieves didn't take everything. They might have found the air hockey table and the 18 bicycles a little to heavy to sneak off with, Mains said.

Still, there was too much to do with the time left, volunteers said. They were in search of replacement gifts and had to load and deliver the remaining toys.

"We're not even going to have time to wrap them now," said volunteer Trisha Smith. "The mommas are going to have to do it."

Mains cried Thursday as she and the other volunteers surveyed the room off U.S. 501 in Myrtle Beach. All of what she called the best toys - the Bratz dolls, the Barbies, the CD players, the karaoke machines - were gone. The thieves even took the radio that volunteers listened to while organizing gifts.

Thieves tried to kick in the metal side door late Wednesday or early Thursday, cracking it but ultimately failing. Then they hopped the barbed-wire fence to take a cinder block to the wooden back door, creating a hole that they used to unlock the door, the police report said.

The building was donated for Caring 4 Kids' use this holiday by Woodmen of the World, a nonprofit life insurance group.

Julie Brannock, the treasurer of Woodmen of the World lodge, said they would replace the doors with stronger, commercial-grade doors. Still, Mains and the volunteers scrambled to get all the toys out of the building Thursday so the thieves would have nothing left to steal if they returned.

"[Thieves] can either re-gift them, or try to pawn them, or use them for their own personal goods," said police spokesman Capt. David Knipes. Knipes said pawn shops are required to turn in the pawn slips, which could help police catch the thieves.

Also, police took fingerprints from the doors, which Knipes said could be helpful. The thieves also left a knife, the police report said.

"I never imagined you could pawn a doll," Mains said.

Smith said thieves likely spotted volunteers unloading donations from Surfside Christian Church on Wednesday night. Almost all those gifts were gone, Mains said.

Next year, Mains doesn't plan on too many changes, but she'll try to keep next year's storage facility a secret. "We believe that next year, this won't happen again. We won't look back," she said. "We have faith. We believe in people."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
To donate

Caring 4 Kids is still in need of toys to replace those that were stolen. The group will make deliveries through at least Sunday. Some of the gifts that were stolen were Bratz dolls, Barbies, CDs, Walkmans, CD players, karaoke machines, Atari hand-held joystick games, basketballs and footballs. Some of the gifts were specially requested by ill children, Barb Mains said. "If there's a crying baby [doll] anywhere in Myrtle Beach, we need it for a little girl," Mains said. To donate toys, call 497-5457 or send gifts to 6302 N. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.

Blythe not Bratz!

Yeah believe it or not! I did this before. awhile ago...but I wanted to share it..I didn't want it to get "lost in the mists of time" :) Blythe Walking in Light!

MGA rocks again!

Again, when I brought this up with my friends at MGA they have once again come through. Its so sad when kids have to pay the price for adult's actions. Can you imagine being robbed of your mom and then also Christmas in one motion through no fault of your own. Well now they will have a Merry Christmas. :) MGA Rocks!

An inmate asks for help from Santa

I'm writing you on behalf of my four children. They are with their grandparents this year for the Christmas Day and me, their mommy, is incarcerated.
Please help my 3 boys and daughter, ages 8, 10, 10 and 11 (the daughter is 11). She wants the Bratz comforter set with the curtains and the CDs for the Bratz radio I bought her or she says even just the Bratz bike will do. My boys only ask for a Playstation 2 with some games. They all want clothes. The only problem is my parents, their grandparents, do not believe in Christmas. Can you please send them something so they know that Santa didn't forget about (them). Please. I was too late (arriving) here to get any kind of Christmas help for them.

Shopping season begins

By Kevin Walters

It was just before 5 a.m. today when the Bratz battle erupted.

Minutes after U.S. 98 Wal-Mart SuperCenter employees carted
out a shipment of the popular Bratz dolls - think Barbie and Ken
or the hip-hop generation - for the after-Thanksgiving Day sale, a
pack of shoppers laying in wait in the store's toy department
pounced on the employees with the dolls.

"You could see boxes going through the air, people screaming
and hollering and running," said shopper Sharon Parker, 50,
describing the scene afterward. "A little girl came through here -
like about 10 years old - just crying, holding the side of her head.
She got hit by a lady going after a Bratz doll."

Thousands of bleary-eyed Hattiesburg residents - like millions of
other Americans - swarmed area retailers in Friday's predawn
hours, staking out their turf in line and trying to cram their carts
full of merchandise marked down drastically in what is the
official start of the holiday shopping season. The Bratz dolls, for
example, normally sell for around $30 but this morning they went
for $8.

Parker, a Black Friday veteran, described today's scene simply.
"This is combat shopping," she laughed, but quite serious too.
This year, national spending is expected to grow by 4.5 percent
over last season, according to the National Retail Federation,
bringing spending in at around $219.9 billion. But that's down
from a 5.1 percent growth in 2003. This year, it will be more
difficult for retailers to make gains since the holiday season last
year was so good, the retail organization said.

Seminary residents Angie Dickens, 26, and Jennifer Reeves, 24,
had been in Wal-Mart since 3 a.m. and chased store employees
unloading the dolls in order to get them.

"I was running behind them and everybody was 'What are they
running for?' I'm after that doll," Dickens laughed.
But she also snared a portable DVD player among other popular
loot. It wasn't just the bargains, but the thrill of the hunt that they
craved.

"I like to lost my arm over Spider-Man," Dickens said.

Richton resident April Trussell, 19, in a pink John Deere
sweatshirt, pushed her 27-inch flat-screen television on the floor
from the store's back doors and then sprawled on top of the box,
red-faced and out of breath.

"My heart hurts," she gasped.

But there were calmer scenes at other locations.
Hours before Best Buy opened, Nat King Cole crooned over the
parking lot public announcement system while a car alarm
blared from somewhere in the parking lot's reaches.

Huddled near the front of the line in the cold morning darkness
were Laurel residents Dawn Trest, 23, her husband Michael
Trest, 22, and her brother-in-law Adam Trest, 18. It was their first
Black Friday but they staked out Best Buy like pros, camping out
in their truck and watching DVDs on their computer to pass the
night.

"We're making memories," Michael Trest joked.

Just a few doors down from Best Buy at Toys R Us, Jonathan
Walker, 26, slipped in just after 5 a.m. and bought two portable
CD players in about 20 minutes on his way to work.

"It was two birds with one stone," Walker said.

At Kay-Bee toys in Turtle Creek Mall, Hattiesburg resident Jeff
Mitchell, 45, who is a nursing student and an active-duty Army
soldier, held a bag with his quarry: Care Bears. This was his first
Black Friday and his strategy was like that of other soldiers: lay in
wait and listen.

"When you stand in line, you can hear anything you want about
any store," Mitchell confided. "The women know where to shop.
You're going to hear it. I just soak it all in."

MY FRIENDS AT MGA ROCK!

I have posted this to the main Bratz World club but I wanted to
post it here too so if anyone else wants to wrote to her you can :)

Okay this is a semi-long story but worth it.
I had come across this article online, it was sad because it was
of a little girl who had once been healthy but now had a rare
blood disease. Her family has had some help from their
community and among things given was $500.

(text of the whole story below since the link itself wasn't
comnnecting via email..)

This was the quote that got me
"In addition to the parrot, which was donated by a Paducah
resident, a pet shop there donated a large cage. The Dream
Factory also raised enough money to purchase a canopy bed for
the youngster and send Makayla on a $500 shopping spree
Monday afternoon at the Marion Wal-Mart.
"She's going to use some of that money to buy a new
bedspread, a fish aquarium and probably several Bratz dolls --
those are her favorite," Flare said."

I thought its amazing that there are some things that can still
make her happy in this sad time and so cute its Bratz dolls
among them.

And my cool friends at MGA wanted to get her contact info to help
her out. So since no one was there at the paper when I called
except an operator in another town, and no one at the charity, I
got the Doctor's number off the web and they were there *yay*
and they gave me a number- and it was wrong! LOL SO I called
back and got a second number- and it was the little girl's mom!!
*yay*

Now MGA is going to get in contact and I have a feeling a certain
girl's Holiday season is going to have some extra special
happiness added to it. I just thought that was so cool and
thought that would make you guys smile too. This just
happened earlier today!

If you want to add some holiday joy to a fellow Bratz fan's life in
her time of trouble you can send her cards:
Mikayla Morrison

I just wanted to share a happy story that will make a sad one
have some happiness added to it. ...again MGA rocks!!

DREAM FACTORY GRANTS AILING GOREVILLE GIRL'S WISH

BY JOHN D. HOMAN
THE SOUTHERN
Posted: Tuesday, November 23, 2004 6:56 AM CST

A once-healthy Goreville girl now clings to life day by day at
home while suffering from a rare blood disorder known as HLH,
which she contracted in early June.
The disease strikes only one in a million children.
Makayla Morrison, who turned 10 last month, was in a recliner
Monday afternoon bundled in a blanket and hooked up to an
oxygen tank. She has persevered through a multitude of physical
ailments the last few months, including a heart attack, a series
of strokes, several seizures, a collapsed lung and impaired
vision.
Although happy to be back in a more comfortable and familiar
environment, Morrison is unable to raise herself, much less
walk. She does have an awareness of what's going on around
her, however, and communicates mostly with and through her
mother, Brandy Flare.
On Monday, Janeann Wall, area coordinator with the Southern
Illinois chapter of The Dream Factory, and other volunteers with
the 12-member group, paid a visit to Morrison's home on the 100
block of South Fly Street.

They gave Makayla a parrot named Harley.
"This is the first wish we have granted as a chapter," Wall said.
"It all happened pretty fast. I heard about Makayla last week
through a woman at my church, so I contacted her doctor in
Marion (Renato Katubig) who gave me Brandy's phone number.
And she and I have been talking back and forth quite a bit the last
few days."
In addition to the parrot, which was donated by a Paducah
resident, a pet shop there donated a large cage. The Dream
Factory also raised enough money to purchase a canopy bed for
the youngster and send Makayla on a $500 shopping spree
Monday afternoon at the Marion Wal-Mart.
"She's going to use some of that money to buy a new
bedspread, a fish aquarium and probably several Bratz dolls --
those are her favorite," Flare said.
Flare said she couldn't thank the community of Goreville and
other Southern Illinoisans enough for their generosity.
"The fund-raisers paid for just about everything when we were in
Cincinnati at the children's hospital," said Andy Morrison,
Makayla's father. "They paid for our food, clothes, toys, and the
ride home."
There was enough money left over to pay for three months rent at
their new home in Goreville, too. Morrison, a carpenter by trade
who also has experience with concrete finishing, said he is still
looking for full-time employment. He gave up a job in California
to be with his daughter in the hospital.
Flare said her daughter complains of a constant sore stomach.
The chemotherapy treatments sapped the child of much of her
strength and energy. A bone marrow transplant might have cured
her, but no donor was found and her body has been unable to
withstand the chemo treatments. After a three-month stay in
Cincinnati, the decision was made to discontinue treatments
and Makayla was allowed to go home.
"Makayla's spirits are much better now that she's home," Brandy
said. "This illness has traumatized all of us. We still have to go to
the hospital in Marion about every other day for a blood
transfusion, which takes several hours at a time. Only by the
grace of God and the help of this community have we been able
to survive all of this."
Her voice barely audible, Makayla said she was happy to receive
the gift of the parrot and that she was thankful to all her friends
who have come by to see her since she's been home.
Makayla's aunts, Trina Gold of Paducah and Chris Bryant of
Jacksonville, Fla., were busy comforting their niece. Makayla's
cousins were in the yard playing.
Anyone who would like to donate to The Dream Factory, may
contact Wall at (618) 937-4960 or Janet Campbell at (618)
922-0466. They may also mail contributions to: Dream Factory of
Southern Illinois, P.O. Box 1792, Marion, IL, 62959.
On Dec. 4, the group will host a bazaar and rummage sale as a
fund-raiser at the Johnston City Scout Cabin from 7 a.m. to 3
p.m.

Memories... la la la la la la laaaa
:) These are among the very very first set of pictures I did of my Bratz back in late 2001, early 2002. I had so much fun with these, I loved going around to the thrift stores too looking for alterna-fashions too when I craved more than the fashion packs that were out then. Its so amazing how huge the Bratz World has gotten. So many cool people I have met from it and others who are so rotten they make me realize how wonderful the wonderful people are LOL so even they have served a purpose! :)

Yahooligans! Names the Hottest Toys This Holiday Season

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 23, 2004--

More Than 185,000 Kids Vote for Their Top Toys in Third Annual Poll; Honda's Minimoto Maxii Miniature Electric Motorcycle Voted No. 1

Yahooligans!(R) (http://www.yahooligans.com), Yahoo!'s award-winning Web guide for kids, today announced the results of the 2004 Top Ten Toys poll. More than 185,000 kids throughout the United States voted and chose the Honda Minimoto Maxii, an electric mini-motorcycle that kids can ride, as the most sought-after gift this holiday season.

The annual Yahooligans! Top Ten Toys poll enables kids to vote for the one toy they really would like to receive this holiday season. The results of the poll are based solely on the wishes of kids and do not reflect the opinions of toy manufacturers or retailers.

"As one of the most popular Web destinations for kids, Yahooligans! is providing them with an easy and fun way to voice their opinions on the hottest toys this holiday season," said Craig Forman, vice president, information and finance, Yahoo! Inc. "We're also giving kids the ability to communicate and share their top choices with their parents and peers."

The original list of toys was provided by Toy Wishes Magazine, to ensure that the 30 toys provided for voting were tested and approved.

A new crop of toys entered this year's winning list, all of which had a distinct "retro" feel such as updated versions of dolls, tag, cooking, and stuffed animals. Favorites returning from last year include the Bratz Dolls with the Bratz Tokyo-A-Go-Go Dance 'n Skate Club and Furreal Friends with the Furreal Friends Luv Cub.

According to the third annual Top Ten Toys poll on Yahooligans!, the toys(a) kids hope to receive this holiday season are:

1. Honda Minimoto Maxii (Toy Quest) An electric-powered version of a Honda motorcycle that kids can ride. The bike reaches a top speed of 18 mph and can race around for 50 minutes per charge.

2. VideoNow Color (Hasbro) Kids can watch their favorite TV shows in color whenever -- and wherever -- with this personal video player. The portable device plays discs, featuring hits from Nickelodeon, ABC, and more.

3. Bratz Tokyo-A-Go-Go Dance and Skate Club (MGA Entertainment) This dance and skate club is a retro-disco dream world that includes a lit dance floor, revolving DJ booth, roller rink, lounge, working speakers, exclusive Bratz doll, and many other accessories.

4. Tamagotchi Connection (Bandai) A toy that encourages nurturing, Tamagotchi requires kids to feed and care for their cool critters that now can communicate with each other.

5. Laser Tag Team Ops (Hasbro) Kids can enjoy extreme-sports play and videogaming with these laser-tag sets. Each has a heads-up display system and tagger ID to identify the best player in every game.

6. Terrain Twister (Mattel) The Terrain Twister can twist and turn over any surface when activating Mattel's innovative battery-operated unit. Pivoting pontoons make it possible to plow over grass, sand, water, and more for unstoppable R/C fun.

7. Hershey's S'mores Maker (Spin Master) Children can enjoy the classic chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker treat with this easy-to-use S'mores Maker.

8. ESPN Gamestation (Fisher Price) Kids can play six of their favorite sports at anytime indoors. Kids play while an ESPN commentator reports on their performance. This arcade-style game center features the voice of Stuart Scott and includes soccer, baseball, golf, and football equipment.

9. Furreal Friends Love Cub (Hasbro) These cuddly bear cubs are ready to love. Each bear can hug its owner, play peek-a-boo, and whimper to show it's ready for his bottle.

10. Fashion Fever (Mattel) Getting gussied up is what these ladies are all about. Mattel's fashion-frenzied dolls include Barbie, Teresa, Kayla, and Drew.

Now that kids have voted for their favorite toys, parents and caregivers can find more shopping information at http://yahooligans.yahoo.com/toptentoys. Parents can also go to Yahoo! Shopping (http://shopping.yahoo.com) to find information on how to buy each of the Yahooligans! Top Ten Toys.

This year's poll was sponsored by Paramount Pictures' upcoming film, "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" starring Jim Carrey, Jude Law as the voice of Lemony Snicket and Meryl Streep, in theaters everywhere December 17th. Film branding was featured throughout the voting site.

Bratz World / MGA Thanks-Giving project

(also posted on Bratz World yahoo)

Hello :)
I am bringing this up now because when the holidays
hit it becomes really busy with shopping and traveling
and I want to give everyone time enough to do this and
time enough for this to reach its destinations before
Thanksgiving.

Yes there are people from MGA on this group and I have
become friends with people from MGA so its not going to
be a secret project obviously altho people don't HAVE to
go and tell :).. It won't really compare to when they actually
get and see the books so if the idea itself is known it won't
matter... :)

...anyway remember when you first saw the Bratz? And it
was like- finally a great alternative to pink ball-gowned Babs?
Sure we all have requests and issues we'd like to see with
Bratz products, but this project is just about saying THANKS!

Write a letter about how you want to say thanks for the Bratz
Dolls and products you love and email it to me directly at actsmag@aol.com.

Make the subject line clear its for this project. These letters
will be printed out on various decorative embossed papers
and mounted into a beautiful photo album to sent directly to
Isaac Larian and another to Carter Bryant, the two people who
changed the doll world for the better. You can say anything
you want and give any personal info you like because these
will not be posted anywhere public but will just come to me to
be printed and mounted in the books and then sent to the two
of them.

So add your pictures or drawings (send those by zip file or jpg)
or poems- keep it to the equivelent of 2 pages MAX of an
8 1/2 x 11 letter sized paper. You can begin sending them in
at any time. This isn't a strict rule just a guideline because I will
try to get everything to fit right :)

This will be a great keepsake to both Mr Larian and Carter Bryant
to go and read the letters of the people who love the Bratz and
appreciate how great they are and just want to say Thank You!
Letters can be "to" both Isaac Larian and Carter Bryant or just in
general without a name mentioned since the books will be identical.
Remember Carter Bryant is facing off with Mattel so these will be
a nice thing for him to know he has support too. But don't bash
Mattel
in the letter or say negative stuff about other dolls, just cool positive
stuff you love about the Bratz :)

With the Bratz taking over the Number One spot in the UK for best
selling doll and doing so well elsewhere you know other companies
are stepping up their competitive efforts so lets just add a little
bit of support in the form of Thank You letters as the next year
comes up and the pressure is on.

Things to say (just a suggestion of course): How you were happy
to see great dolls and fashions like the things you wear, how you
were glad for dolls that looked like you and were not mainly blonde
and blue eyed (nothing wrong with blondes of course but you know
what I mean, we got some diversity), how you love the great quality
and the funky hair and play-sets and accesories, or even if you just
love the stuff they make for people like sneakers and bed stuff..
Just go take a look at your Bratz dolls and things and think of why
you love them, and then write it down.

:)
Of course ask any questions you like- I'll put this post in the files
section but there really aren't "rules" other than say thanks in your
own way with words or a picture or a poem etc etc.... and it will be
printed out and mounted in the books so they will know how you
feel.
:)

Remember as you write these letters and send them in make it clear
in the subject line its for this project. There is no deadline yet but
when there is I'll let you know :)

Yasmin tux'd

I had made this picture earlier and forgotten about it and I can't believe I did it was just day or two ago, so here it is now. Yasmin (the lucky TAGG girl) in FF Koby's tux shirt, she was also wearing the original Yasmin's boots but she was running so fast you can't see them because Koby noticed his shirt missing and she was making her escape... ;)

Sweet picture

A sweet picture from MGA, this is how it was described:
"it is a local magazine for 'young people' and although it does not specifically talk about Bratz, they artistically tried to communicate what young people are doing today in terms of their education and instead of using real people, they have used Bratz"

Bratz Dreams come true

You know my lil' picture down there of TAGG Yasmin on Dartmoor? Well I was telling my sweetie about this at brunch and how I really would think that was a perfect day and how lovely the area is and how much history and fairytales born there the artists who live there.. etc etc. I think I am boring him when he says "How about we make that our next years vacation plans?" Okay I nearly fell over he was NOT joking - Go Fast and make a Bratz picture of something you want very badly and it might come true! That trip would not have been perfect without him- you know you always want to share with loved ones, but sometimes you think they might think wandering fairytale woods would be boring. We wander about the NYC area but rarely do these big trips and WOW I can't wait. Need to start saving too which is no good with all the Bratz stuff I want but I'll deal and you know- maybe Yasmin in the TAGG line has some special "powers"- And you know she just scored herself a trip to England with us too- I am going to make that picture real next year

Koby's Chase

Koby mistakes Twinns girl Roxxi for Phoebe and chases after her to his ultimate embarassment. Yasmin follows and wonders why he chases "dreams" when she has loved him all this time?

Poor Koby

Koby ponders his options.. after his "trauma" of the stolen kiss he wonders what his next step should be... Go into therapy or go back to that alleyway and stay there 24/7 until it happens again... you know... for "research" sake... :)

Good Girl?

It was suggested that since Roxxi the "bad girl" had her good girl side that the good girl Phoebe might have a secret "bad girl" side... well I couldn't find anything other than her habit of accosting poor young men in alleyways for kisses... I couldn't really figure out if that was bad or good.. poor Koby was obviously suffering... hmmmm yeah right :)

Sasha in Morocco

hmm lets try this.. ;)
If TAGG Yasmin can make Dartmoor come true then maybe NN Sasha can make Morocco come true for the year after..? :) I just made this for fun, Sasha's NN outfits are so like what you'd think wandering in a pretty palace in Morocco would be, silky and mysterious.

Childhood memories
I actually used to skate around my neighborhood as a kid. I was the only one that I knew of that was brave enough to skate (and fall and get scrapes! :) ) but my best friend would ride her pink bike alongside me :) She has those pink thingamajigs that hung from the handle bars. They were glittery and cute, she has a baby now! :) I guess I'd still know how to skate but I haven't done it in a long time!
